Main electrical panel. Age, capacity (100A / 200A / 400A), indoor or garage location, whether it's upgraded or original. Panel upgrades are the most common unexpected cost in a solar quote.
Shading concerns. Trees, neighboring buildings, rooftop HVAC units. Surveyor brings the right equipment for the right obstacles.
Decision authority. Who in the household is making the decision? Will they both be present during the survey?
